Two men have been hospitalised and eight people arrested after a spate of fights in Augusta Park in the past week.
Port Augusta Police arrested four men late Tuesday night in relation to a double assault at a Grantham Street address, which involved the use of sticks and a machete.
Two male victims were hospitalised, one with a minor stab wound to the chest and the other with a dislocated shoulder.
Four men were arrested for charges including assault and weapons offences.
All were refused bail and appeared in the Port Augusta Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning.
Police returned to Augusta Park Wednesday afternoon when a fight started after a group of men targeted two houses with rocks and petrol bombs (Molotov cocktails).
Police required further support to contain the incident and prevent further offences.
Police arrested four people during the disturbance.
All were refused bail and faced the Port Augusta Magistrates Court on Thursday with charges of intent to cause harm and aggravated offences. Two of the offenders were remanded in custody and two were granted bail.
All four will reappear in the Magistrates Court on June 7.
It is believed the two incidents were linked, with Port Augusta Police confirming the offenders and victims from both attacks were known to each other.
It is believed those involved in the fights were local and non-local to Port Augusta, with police confirming one of the arrested was from the Northern Territory.
Investigations into the incidents continue and police expect further arrests to be made.
Four of the eight arrested remain remanded in custody, police said on Monday.
