Concentrating on children

08 Feb, 2012 09:02 AM
A recent survey of regional mothers showed 32 per cent were concerned about their children’s ability to concentrate in the classroom.

Concentration levels have been linked to the intake of Omega-3, commonly found in fish, which 20 per cent of surveyed mothers admitted to not feeding their children enough of.

Mother of three Angela Corbett, tries to make feeding her children healthy food a priority, and said there is no problem in getting her boys, Brady, in Year 3 and Cody, in reception, to eat fish.

“We are lucky in Port Augusta that we can catch our own fish in our gulf,” she said.

The boys go fishing with their dad, Tim, and Angela said the boys enjoy catching fish as well as helping to scale them and pack them up for the freezer.
