Local footy star Tyler McKenzie cannot thank the local community and his family enough as he leaves Port Augusta to continue his studies in Adelaide.

He is an inspiring 15-year-old who wants to make a career in footy and is working hard to reach his goal.

Tyler has enjoyed playing for the West Augusta Football Club and is determined to do Port Augusta proud while he plays for the North Adelaide team.

He recently made a tour to Fiji with the Flying Boomerangs where they performed exceptionally.

“I am ready to move on and explore opportunities to enhance my career and education,” Tyler said.

“Although I am passionate about footy, I also want to do well academically.

“I will be attending Prince Alfred College and hope to take up an apprenticeship after year 12.
