The temperature was up and so were the numbers at Little Athletics on Sunday with more than 80 children in attendance.
The day began reasonably well with a bit of cloud cover, but by the time the U11 to U17 groups had to run their 1500m, the heat made it an onerous task.
The kids that took part battled through and appreciated the water spray each time they passed the finish line.
Emily Reed from the Under 6 group did an excellent job, achieving a total of three personal bests (PBs) from the four events she competed in.
The following also did well managing to get two PBs for the day:
Lucy Janiak (U6), Maia Scharenberg (U6), Joe Dodd (U6), Mitchell McInnis (U7), Seth Moroney (U7), Cameron Tansell (U7), Shani Wilton (U8), Timothy Murphy (U8), Blake Smith (U8), Annie Packard (U9), Matthew Reed (U9), Connor Rozee (U10), Ebony Janiak (U11), Jumeka Saunders (U11), Blake Packard (U11) and Kane Jeromin (U15).
