Lions will be equal second Saturday night

20 Aug, 2009 08:53 AM
The Cats are perhaps where the Lions were three years ago. That is at the start of a rebuilding phase and with some prodigious talent but along the way they have suffered some fearful hidings.

This Saturday they take on the Lions who are a real chance to finish second if other results go their way over the last two rounds.

Former Cats Chuck Sawyer and Madigan Medallist Matt Peek will be playing against their former club and both are having excellent seasons for the combine.

The Lions have the firepower in Harmer, Bradley, Horsnell and Ware and some excellent players in defence but of the top four teams have conceded the most points by far. It is the leaking of goals they will have to work on to be a real flag threat. They can start this Saturday.

Tip: Lions 60-70
