ENERGY: One of Beyond Zero Emissions’ managing directors, Mark Ogge, Repower Port Augusta committee members Lisa Lumsden and Dan Spencer and Dick Smith discussed energy options at a forum last week. The forum was filmed in part and will contribute to a documentary about energy which is being made by Mr Smith.

A second documentary delving into Port Augusta’s energy future is being made, this time by Australian entrepreneur Dick Smith.

Mr Smith and a film crew were in the city last week holding a forum to discuss renewable energy use and in particular, solar thermal.

He also interviewed Mayor Joy Baluch and filmed at the power station.

A film crew making a documentary called Two Degrees spent time with residents in Port Augusta, following Repower Port Augusta’s solar thermal campaign.

During the forum, core people involved in the push for solar thermal in Port Augusta spoke as well as Mr Smith, but he spoke about the benefits of solar hot water services.
