‘Suspicious activity’ at Wilmington

POLICE are investigating reports of suspicious activity around rural properties in the state’s mid north.

Police have received several reports of vehicles entering rural properties in and around the Wilmington area during September.

In particular, a white Toyota Landcruiser ute has been seen entering rural farming properties and other residences, and on occasions, have been disturbed in rear yards.

At noon on Sunday, September 18, a teal-blue coloured hatch back with two or three occupants were seen at a rural property at Wilmington but they took off at speed when disturbed by the property owner.

Police urge property owners to call police immediately (131 444) if they notice any suspicious activity in the area.

Residents are also reminded to be vigilant and ensure that their homes and cars are secured at all times.
