And it’s a story of rags to riches for Eagles who were only formed in 2014.

The A grade team finished with nine wins, zero draws and two losses while the B grade team finished with 10 wins and one loss.

Eagles put on an entertaining brand football, with the A and B grade teams smashing through over 40 goals each.

The two sides received their individual medals, the Port Augusta A grade Soccer Shield and the Terry Gardiner Meats B grade Shield on Wednesday March 15.

Eagles Member Jason Chesson thanked all those who supported and said it’s a remarkable effort for a club that would struggle to win more than one game a season.

“Having the success we’ve had this year, it might put out to people that Eagles aren’t a pushover anymore, and we might get some new players next year,” he said.
