TWO Roxby Downs residents have avoided serious injury after an alleged rock throwing incident on the Eyre Highway shortly after 1.30pm on Monday, April 17.
It’s believed that the occupant of a van travelling in a south westerly direction, departing Port Augusta West along the Eyre Highway, threw an unknown object out of their van which has hit the windscreen of the victims car. The driver and passenger, who were travelling north east on the Eyre Highway towards Port Augusta, were not seriously injured.
The damage to the windscreen is estimated at $700.
A police incident report has been raised and the matter is still being investigated.

The incident follows two Port Augusta youths being arrested for allegedly throwing rocks at trucks on Victoria Parade on Thursday, March 9. The two boys, aged 12 and 13, were charged with property damage and throwing objects at vehicles.
Neither driver was injured, but the rocks caused significant damage to both trucks.
