Port Augusta Netball Association umpire Tricia Lehmann received her B Grade Umpiring badge at the Priceline Country Championships last weekend.

The Netball Australia National Umpire Development Framework sets out details for its National Badging System, including prerequisites and key performance indicators for each of the National Badges.

This process involved Tricia completing Level 1 Umpiring Course and Theory Exam, finishing with a Practical Assessment at the Country Championships.

Tricia has been umpiring for over 30 years and is heavily involved in the Quorn Netball Club.

“I umpire because I love the game,” Tricia said.

“I have always enjoyed umpiring, even as a player. After retiring, it was a great way to stay involved in netball and to keep in contact with the club.”

Tricia also runs the Coloured Shirts program in Quorn, teaching young people how to umpire, as well as being vice-president of the Quorn Netball Club.
