A former local has drawn attention to an issue she said affected many people and overcome her own struggles in the process.
Hayley Morton said many people do not realise how inhibiting low self-esteem could be to a person’s development and life choices.
While growing up in Port Augusta, Ms Morton dreamed of becoming a writer.
However, she found her low opinion of her skills and lack of confidence pre-vented her from chasing this goal.
“I felt I wasn’t good enough to write so I would become an English teacher and teach other people’s writing,” she said.
