RIDING approximately 20,000 kilometres around Australia is not an adventure many people would think to do, but that's exactly what Steve Goble is doing.

Mind you – he's not just doing it for fun, he and his wife Miranda are on a 8-12 month mission to raise vital funds for the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation.

When the duo passed through Port Augusta they had left their Perth starting point a month prior.

Mr Goble said the reason for the trip was sparked by he and Miranda both wanting to travel Australia.

The opportunity to fundraise along the way was formed after their son-in-law was diagnosed with a brain tumor four years ago.

"He's had treatment and he's doing really well, so we want to help other people have the same positive outcome,” Mr Goble said.

They are aiming to raise $50,000 for the foundation through donations and by selling art work Miranda is creating along the way.
