The Port Augusta Basketball Association (PABA) held its annual Under 9 Round Robin on Saturday, March 4, with 194 players participating from 26 teams.
Games were modified to include two, 10 minute halves with 42 games played across the day, with hundreds of family and friends present to cheer on these future all-stars.
The games were played in great spirit and equally supported by coaches and supporters.
The coaches support the teams on the court and umpire the games. One coach wore a step tracker that recorded over 16,000 steps for their four games.
Coaches were also actively involved on the court explaining decisions, handing out advice and focusing on the kids development over winning.
PABA would like to thank Carey Struck, coaches and umpires that made the day and entire season an overwhelmingly huge success.
PABA hopes to maintain this participation in basketball with winter basketball planned from May 8, 2017.
