PABC Shooters 13 d Flinders Ferals 2
When Ferals trailed 2-3 after the first set, it looked as though they were in for a competitive contest.
Unfortunately for them, Shooters were able to streak away, not conceding another frame, emphasising the gap between the top and bottom sides in the competition.
Naturally all players for Shooters contributed to the win, with Jason Boyd, Mick Freeman and Michael Grimes all winning their 3 frames, including an eightball pot-out for Grimes.
Jarrod Wallace and Robert Grimes were also successful in two of their three frames.
Straight Outta Progress 10 d Central Red 5
Progress won easily against the struggling Red team, with Will Tucker and Jake Martlew the standout players for Progress, both winning all three frames, while Ian Hinton was successful in two from three.
Leading 7-3 at the final break, Progress accomplished this early to win the match.
The only player to offer real resistance for the Red team was Tom Buzzacott with two from three, including an eightball pot-out.
RSL Cannons 12 d Travellers Rest Blue 3
In another lop-sided result, Cannons set up their convincing victory with a 5-0 result in the first set.
From thereon the Blue team struggled to get back into the match, which was all over before the third set commenced.
For the winners, Ian Long, Brodie Grantham and Dick Elliot all won their three frames, with James Little successful in two from three.
South Bulldogs 8 d RSL Woftam 7
Bulldogs got up in a close one when Captain Jason Nance was able to win the 14th frame to put his team 8-6 up after entering the final set at 5-5.
Best player for the victors was Ashley Walters, who won his three frames, with Dewayne Pieters successful in two from three.
Andrew Thorpe, Matt Hayward and Darren Strawbridge all won two of their three frames for Woftam, but were unable to get their team over the line.
