The Melbourne Demons have continued their rich vein of form with a convincing win on Saturday afternoon. The Demons notched up their sixth straight victory, defeating the Western Bulldogs by 15.10 (100) to 7.9 (51) at Etihad Stadium. It was an extra special occasion for Melbourne, with captain Nathan Jones playing his 250th AFL game. Jones finished the match with 26 possessions, but it was teammate Jesse Hogan who led the way to victory. Hogan booted five goals and fellow forward Tom McDonald provided support with four goals to guide their side to a 49-point win. Marcus Bontempelli kicked two goals for the Bulldogs. The result means Melbourne has won eight games in 2018, including the past six matches in-a-row. The Demons sit in second spot on the ladder, midway through the 11th round.
