RSL Dynamite 8 tied with RSL Cannons 8
The RSL derby was a game of two halves, with Cannons getting off to a flyer to lead seven frames to one at the half time break, only to see Dynamite show their resilience to win the second half by the same margin.
The best player for Dynamite was Bill Struensee, who won three from four, with Clay Weidenbach and Brenton Schulz each winning two of their four frames.
Brodie Grantham was best player for Cannons, winning three from four, while James Little and Tim Martlew each won two from four.
Central Red 8 tied with PABC Assassins 8
Assassins managed to get their first premiership point for the season when they pegged back the Red team in the final set to tie the match.
The winners were well served by Daniel Quigley, who won three of his four frames, while the consistent Norm Smith won two out of four frames.
For the Red team, Tom Buzzacott won the two frames that he played, with Mick Barrett and Dani Grantham winning two of their three frames.
Deane Adams and Kelvyn Rigden each won one from two.
Flinders Ferals 11 d Stirling Progress Cougars 5
After tying the opening set, Ferals surged to a convincing victory, winning nine of the next 12 frames.
Terry Forsyth had a stand-out night, going unbeaten in his four frames, while Bill Taylor also won the two frames that he played.
Brodie Taylor won two from three, with Neville Karger winning two of his four frames.
Best players for Cougars were Tyler Bavington and Bradley McKenzie, who won two from three and four respectively.
PABC Shooters 9 d Central Bloods 7
Top-placed Shooters won their closest match for some time when they were pushed by the Bloods after leading by eight frames to four.
All players contributed to Shooters’ victory, with Mick Freeman winning three from four and Rob Duke, Jason Boyd and Andrew Thorpe all winning two of their four frames to keep their side undefeated.
Best players for Bloods were Scott Mackinlay and Brodie Tuip, both of whom won three of their four frames.
Travellers Rest Gunners 15 d Travellers Rest Blue 1
Second-placed Gunners completed a demolition job on their opponents, Travellers Rest Blue, in this one-sided match.
Shawn Reid won the opening frame of the first set for the Blue team, but they were unable to improve on this scoreline, with the Gunners going on to win the remaining 15 frames.
For the winners, Anthony Grantham, Troy Coe and Dave Allport were all undefeated in their four frames, while Tim Allport won three of his four frames.
