The Spencer Gulf Football League's brightest up-and-coming stars will showcase their talents in a curtain-raiser before the much-anticipated Showdown at Memorial Oval in Port Pirie on Saturday, March 2.
An SGL Under 21 clash between Port Augusta and Port Pirie will start at 12:30pm, before Adelaide Crows and Port Adelaide do battle at 3:40pm as part of the 2019 JLT Community Series.
Port Augusta Coach Ryan Struck has picked an array of young guns from the three local clubs, with South Augusta premiership-winning star Harry Holland and West Augusta A-Grader Charlie Ryan named as co-captains.
After West Augusta fielded a young side in the 2018 SGL season, a handful of Hawks players have earned selection, including Toby Blinman, Kayden Bejah and Kye Davies.
Central Augusta senior players Caleb Williams, Sharmbaye Besant-Wilton and Stephen Anderson were all recognised, while South has Trent Ritter, Mitchell French and Stefan Horner among their representatives.
