Olympic Marathon runner Jess Trengove will be running at the Orroroo Half Marathon on Sunday, March 31.
Jess is looking forward to taking part in the race, and particularly to talking to the younger competitors about training and running.
Jess will address the competitors and visitors prior to the presentations following the race.
This is the twelfth Orroroo Half Marathon and it has become popular with distance runners for its undulating and picturesque course.
Along with the 21-kilometre run many competitors enjoy the 10-kilometre run or walk, while others take on the 5-kilometre run or walk.
Young children are catered for with a run around the street circuit after the start of the distance events, so all ages and abilities are catered for.
The Orroroo Half Marathon Committee is thrilled to be able to host Jess, along with many of the other talented runners who compete each year.
This year the town of Orroroo will be a hive of activity on Sunday, March 31, with the Orroroo Markets on the median strip of the Main Street, and the SA Water community celebration of the arrival of piped water to the householders and businesses of the town.
Orroroo would like to invite visitors to come and see a champion marathon runner in action at a local race, and cheer on the many other competitors as well!
