State Manager of the Year turned National Manager of the Year, Helloworld Travel's Barbara Hunt is on an unstoppable roll.

Ms Hunt received the award at the Helloworld conference in Saigon, Vietnam after being nominated at state level.

"I thought, State Manager of the year how lovely would that be! I had barely sat back down and they announced National," she laughed.

"You could have carried me away on a bubble."

The National Manager of the Year Award category recognises excellence from the Helloworld Travel Agency Manager who consistently displays a passion for staff development, team collaboration and best practice whilst leading by example.

After 33 years in the industry and as a local business owner, Ms Hunt said the award is surreal.

"We are a very heavy service industry, you cant just come in an touch and feel everything. Its all about the service that we give," she said.

"It really put our business out there and puts Port Augusta on the map, reiterating that we do have really good service from a management level down."

Business Port Augusta, along with clients and colleagues from around the state, have extended their congratulations.

"This is another great example of a great local business being recognised for their outstanding efforts," Business Port Augusta Chairperson Darren Sherriff said.

"Again, Port Augusta businesses are being awarded, and in this case recognised on the international stage."
