A man has been arrested following a break in at Port Augusta in the early hours of the morning.
Just before 3am on Tuesday, September 10, police responded to alarm activations at a hotel on Stirling Road.
Police patrols arrived within minutes and located a man still inside the kitchen area of the hotel.
The man was subsequently arrested over the break-in.
Police will also allege that the man had gained entry to the same hotel the night before and stole wine.
A 34-year-old man from the Northern Territory was charged with two counts of serious criminal trespass and two counts of theft.
He was refused bail and will appear in the Port Augusta Magistrates Court today.
