Australia Day Awards open for nominations

Nominations are open for the 2020 Australia Day Awards. If you know of anyone who is a worthy recipient or you are aware of a great community event that you have recently attended, make sure you nominate them.

Categories:

Australia Day Citizen Award

The most outstanding Citizen for the local government authority.

Australia Day Young Citizen Award

The most outstanding Young Citizen for the local government authority. Nominees for this category must be 30 years of age or less on January 26 in the year of the award presentation.

The Community Event of the Year Award

Presented to the person/group who has staged the most outstanding community event during the year.

Nomination forms are available from the Port Augusta City Council office display board or via its website www.portaugusta.sa.gov.au.

Award recipients are announced on Australia Day with a presentation by the Mayor at the celebrations held at Gladstone Square on January 26.

The closing date for nominations is 5pm on December 13, 2019.
