Division 1 Results

South Bulldogs 8 tied with Central Bloods 8

Top side Bulldogs salvaged a draw against the second side when they came from behind to win the final set by three frames to one.

With three wins from his four frames, Dewayne Pieters was the best player for Bulldogs, supported by Andrew Reynolds and Ashley Walters both of whom won two from four.

Best player for Bloods was their captain, Brodie Tuip with three from four.

Tim Allport and Ben Thorpe each won two of their four frames.

Travellers Rest Gunners 10 d RSL Dynamite 6

A superb effort from Troy Coe, who won his four frames and included an eightball potout, ensured that Gunners had the upper hand against the third placed Dynamite.

Coe was ably supported by Anthony Grantham with three from four and Darren Strawbridge, who won two of his four frames.

Norm Wood and Rob Genahl were the main contributors for Dynamite, winning three and two respectively from their four frames.

PABC Shooters 11 d RSL Cannons 5

Cannons woes for this season continued when they were soundly beaten by the fifth placed Shooters, who had the match won when they led by nine frames to three after the third set.

Michael Grimes led the way for Shooters, winning his four frames, whilst Ashley Bemmerl and Mick Freeman were successful in three of their four frames.

James little was the only player to shine for Cannons, winning three from four, including an eightball potout.

Division Two

Travellers Rest Blue 9 d PABC Assassins 7

The Blue team won the final set by four frames to zero to come from behind and defeat the top side in a game that went down to the wire.

All six players used by the Blue team contributed to their win, with Howie Reid, two from two, and Trevor Toune and Terry McKenzie each with two from three, being the best players. Robert

Grimes won three of his four frames to be best for Assassins, with Norm Smith and Rebekah Grimes each winning two from four.

Central Red 8 tied with West Augusta Hawks 8

Hawks gained their first point for the season when they tied with the Red team in a match that was not decided until the last frame.

Wayne Cox and Tom Davis were the better players, winning three of their four frames, with Jamie Wilkin contributing two from four for Hawks.

Despite winning the first set by three frames to one, the Red team could not maintain the pressure, with three players winning two frames apiece.

They were Matt McCarthy and Kelvyn Rigden with two from three and Mick Barrett with two from four.
