Bloods showed why they are sitting on top of the table when they convincingly accounted for a disappointing Cannons side. At the half time break, they had the game won when they led by 8 frames to nil. Although Cannons were able to win four frames from the final eight, courtesy of Brodie Grantham and Dick Elliot with two wins apiece, the damage had been done. All players contributed to Bloods' victory, with Brodie Tuip and Scott Mackinlay undefeated with four and two wins respectively, and Ben Thorpe and Tim Allport winning three and two from their four frames.
Travellers Rest Gunners 10 d South Bulldogs 6
Outstanding performances from Anthony Grantham and Troy Coe with four wins each, including two eightball potouts from Grantham and one from Coe, assured Gunners of victory over a competitive Bulldogs side that managed to tie the first and third sets. With Dave Stirling also contributing two wins from his four frames, Gunners were able to win the other two sets by three frames to one. The major contributors for Bulldogs were Ashley Walters and Andrew Reynolds, each with two wins from their four attempts.
RSL Dynamite 12 d PABC Shooters 4
Dynamite completely dominated this match, winning each of the four sets by three frames to one. Clay Weidenbach and Brenton Schulz were undefeated with four wins apiece, with Rob Duke and Norm Wood each winning two of their four frames. Shooters had four individual players winning one frame each.
PABC Assassins 13 d West Augusta Hawks 3
Assassins really asserted their authority in this match, only allowing Hawks to win one frame in three of the four sets. In a strong team performance, Robert Grimes with four wins, and Josh Grantham and Norm Smith each with three wins, were all undefeated. Rebekah Grimes also contributed with two wins from her three frames.
Central Red 12 d EDP Lightning 4
Lightning got off to the worst possible start when they lost the opening set by four frames to zero. They fought back to trail by only two at the half time break, but could only manage to win one frame from the remaining eight. In an overall good team performance from the Red team, Jo McKenzie and Glyn Adams were undefeated with three wins apiece, and Kelvyn Rigden and Dani Grantham each winning two of their three frames. Daniel Quigley won two frames from his four attempts to be the only player with multiple wins for Lightning.
