The iconic Pichi Richi Marathon was held once again this year on June 27.
This follows the disappointment of being cancelled last year due to COVID19 .
Almost 350 entrants from all over the state and country lined up in the various events in ideal conditions with each finishing at the Quorn Oval Complex .
The full marathon which starts from the Standpipe Golf Motor Inn, Port Augusta West, was won for the third time by John Csongei in the very good time of 2 hours, 41 minutes and 55 seconds .
Mr. Csongei, from Aberfoyle Park set the course record in 2017.
Alice Fiebig came first in the female division and led the women home in the time of 4 hours, 30 minutes and 51 seconds.
Each were crowned King and Queen of the Ranges respectively .

Organisers have now turned their attention to next year which will see the event celebrate its 40th anniversary .
It will be held on June 22 and offering the full marathon (42.2km) , half marathon (21.1km) , 10.5km , 5.0km and the 'junior dash' for the kids.
