Crows through to grand final

Stirling North Crows are in a good position to defend their 2020 Division 1 Premiership by going straight into the Grand Final with a good win against Westside Hawks, 16 rubbers 41 sets to 4 rubbers 23 sets, in a thrashing. Hawks were never in the game with the Crows displaying consistent table tennis.

In the other semi-final Bulldogs 11 rubbers 37 sets defeated Eagles 5 rubbers 24 sets in a disastrous loss to the bottom team.

Bulldogs had top player David Schooling in good form with 3 wins, Brodie Driscoll 2 wins, Tim Clarke 1 win and Mark Shirley 2 wins and Stuart Beaton contributing with 2 wins.

Best for the Eagles were the consistent Jannie Basson with 2 wins but they were no match for the Bulldogs on the night.

Division 2 Results

1st Semi Final

Stirling Crows 4 rubbers 15 sets 268 points were defeated by Augusta Park Eagles 4 rubbers 15 sets 269 points in one of the closest finishes in modern times and a very unlucky result to Eagles.

2nd Semi Final

Bulldogs 5 rubbers 17 sets defeated Westside Hawks 3 rubbers 13 sets to make their way to the Grand Final

Next week's matches Hawks play Bulldogs in the Preliminary Final in Division 1 with Crows in the Grand Final. In Division 2 Hawks played Eagles with Bulldogs in the Grand Final.
