The Pichi Richi Railway has been nominated as a finalist in the South Australian Tourism Awards.

The railway is among nine tourist attractions in the Flinders Ranges that have made it as finalists.

Voting is now open for the public to get behind their favourite finalist in the 2021 Voters Choice category.

A spokesperson from the Pichi Richi Railway said "we are trying not to be too excited about being finalists in the South Australian Tourism Awards because it's another five to six weeks before the winners are revealed."

"We are up against some stiff competition like the fabulous Flinders Food Co in Hawker, so every vote counts."

Tourism Industry Council South Australia (TiCSA) Chief Executive Officer, Shaun de Bruyn said South Australia is home to many fantastic tourism experiences.

"The South Australian Tourism Awards Gala Dinner is a celebration of the outstanding success and resilience that tourism operators across the state have displayed."

"South Australia has various unique experiences and strong state connections that really sets us apart amongst a highly competitive industry."

The winners of Voters' Choice and the SA Tourism Awards will be revealed at the Gala Dinner on Thursday, November 4 at Adelaide Oval.
