Awards for top players

Kriston Thompson capped off another good year on the field by winning his third consecutive South Augusta Fairest and Best Kittel Cup in front of a large crowd at the presentation night last Saturday.

Kriston won from runner-up and Best Team Man Caleb Ritter with the other trophies in the A Grade being awarded to Craig Shirley, Stefan Horner, Darcy Kildea, Ethan Reid, Lenny Hoffman for best first year player, and Jaylon Wingfield and Aziel Stuart for the coaches award.

In the B grade, the Best and Fairest Waterworth Cup was won by Mitchell French with runner-up going to Dylan Barnett.

Others to win trophies in the B Grade include Ethan Gade, Will Waterworth, Flynn Everett, Jack Magarey, Marcus Kerin and Jake Westwood.

In the Under 18s, the Rod Lamshed Memorial Best and Fairest trophy was won by Micheal Collins and runner-up Rex Waterworth with other trophies going to Jesse McPherson, Dalton Gade, Lenny Hoffman, Hudson Brazell, Harry Bolitho, Tyson Darley and Sam Chamberlain.

William Newberry won the Shillabeer goal kicking trophy at the club.

The Chambers family club person of the year award went to Judith Barnett for her services to the club and presentations were awarded to the trainers Jacqui Ritter and Nicole McInnis.

The Patron's trophy was awarded to player Caleb Ritter for his contribution to the club off the field in 2021.

Life memberships were awarded to Sue Magarey, Jenny Grantham and Jim Maule for their long service as volunteers, having served the club over many years.
